The first project... a bookmark

To make your first project you will have to follow something called a pattern... which is basically a recipe for crochet. You must follow each step to get the project done.

Step 1: 1 slipknot

Step 2: 40 chain stitch

Step 3: Do 1 more chain stitch and then do a simple crochet in the second chain from the hook

Step 4: Complete 39 simple crochet until you get to the end of your yarn piece

Step 5: Chain 1 and then in the second chain from the hook complete a simple crochet

Step 6: Complete 39 simple crochet until you get to the end of your yarn piece

Step 7: Leave a long string and then finish off
